School of Bioprocess Engineering, UniMAP

Our School is the eighth school in University Malaysia Perlis. It is situated in Kompleks Pusat Pengajian Jejawi 3, Arau, Perlis and the landmark is next to PUSPAKOM Arau, Perlis. On your way here, you will be astonished by the breathtaking views of paddy fields along the highway. It is a 3 hour drive from Penang or you can book a flight to the nearest airport at Kepala Batas, Alor Setar, Kedah. From there, it's only 45 minutes driving distance. 

We are currently offering 2 engineering degree programmes, namely Bioprocess Engineering and Biosystem Engineering. Starting from 2011, we will be offering a new engineering technology programme, Chemical Engineering (Industrial Biotechnology). School of Bioprocess Engineering is committed in providing students with a strong scientific, technical, and humanistic foundation, and to encourage them to develop creativity in defining problems and seeking solutions. For the bachelor of engineering degree, students must complete a core requirement of 120 units plus 15 units of university required courses. Students may graduate upon the completion of the 135 units.

We aim in giving students the best possible educational and research experience. Such experience is essential whether our graduates work in academia or industry and whether they run companies or countries.
