WHAT IS A3I ?

➢ AI is an important driving force for a new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial change.

➢ Asia, especially in China, Japan, South Korea and Malaysia, is expected to become a pioneer and leader in the AI industry

➢ The number and quality of talents in this field can not meet the needs of industrial development, and there is a lack of effective training mode.

Student mobility

This program enables students to acquire a broad international outlook, reliable AI technology, and advanced application skills through following programs offered:

Short Program

Short program provides 10-14 days exchange program including language and cultural experience, AI introductory lectures, and industry visits.

A 1-4 week enterprise internship, arranged by the partner university or in their home country, to gain practical experience and problem-solving skills.

Summer/Winter school

Summer/Winter school will be hosted by each university in turns including a training camp, international symposium and academic-industry forum.

Online course

Each university will offer one English-instructed online course for master students, with the four universities jointly offering one doctoral course. The courses will be updated regularly and recognized for credit transfer and accreditation. Dual degree pursuing students are recommended to visit all participating universities by combining the above programs. Figures 1 and 2 show an example of the recommended schedule for the Master’s and Doctoral Dual Degree programs to completion. One semester of study abroad is required for the master's degree and one year long study abroad is required for the doctoral degree.

Mid-long term program

To pursue the dual degree, students are required to study at one of the 3 partner universities for a period of 4-12 months. Credits earned at both the home and host universities can be mutually transferred while ensuring the quality of education. Upon completion of the required credits and degree awarding conditions, students will be awarded a Master’s/Doctoral degree from both their home and host universities.
